Comfort Zone එක, Speed limits සහ Mental Energy
Comfort Zone

Everyone preaches that living inside your comfort zone is terrible, and honestly, they’re not wrong. But there’s a catch to it (maybe it’s just a me thing, who knows)…
When I ride my bike, I usually cruise in the 40–50 km/h sweet spot (on rare, wide-open roads I’ve touched 80 max). Your personal comfort zone might be 60–70 km/h—it’s all relative. But the second I cross that threshold, I have to deploy extra mental CPU power to monitor the bike, surrounding traffic, and unpredictable wild hazards (like random stray cows wandering onto the tarmac).
Stepping outside that speed comfort zone forces your brain to burn extra focus and energy. By the time you reach your destination, you feel significantly more drained than usual. But when cruising inside your comfortable speed bubble, riding feels effortless. (Fun fact: look into how on long highway stretches, even when you’re half-groggy, your brain automatically steers around incoming vehicles on subconscious autopilot—involuntary reflexes at work). Because it’s a deeply ingrained routine, your brain handles it on autopilot inside your comfort zone.
From my experience: if you have a demanding day ahead where you need to save every drop of mental focus, taking public transit or carpooling with someone else will save you a massive chunk of mental energy.
Because let’s be real—navigating urban traffic without cursing out three or four drivers’ mothers before reaching your destination is practically impossible!
Just a random thought I had while riding. Masterminds, feel free to drop your wisdom!
