Helakuru Keyboard Update එක
හායි හායි සෑහෙන කාලෙකින් Post එකක් ලියන්නේ මම සෑහෙන කාලෙක ඉඳන් ටයිප් කරන වැඩ වලට පාවිච්චි කරන්නේ විජේසේකර Keyboard layout එක. ඉතින් iOS Default keyboard එක තමයි පාවිච්චි කලේ. කොහොමහරි මට චාන්ස් එකක් සෙට් උනා අලුතෙන් එන Helakuru Updated Keyboard එක test කරන්න. ඉතිං Trial Version එකත් Activate කරගෙන දැං දවස් කීපෙක ඉඳන් මම මේක පාවිච්චි කරනවා ඉතිං මම කල්පනා කලා, මට සෙට් වෙච්චි අලුත් වැඩකෑලි ටිකක් ඔයාලත් එක්ක Share කරගන්න. 1.welcome screen මතකනෙ ඉස්සෙල්ලා මං Boot Screen එකට එක එක ඒවා දැම්මා.අන්න හෙලකුරු එකෙන් දැං ඒකත් කරනවා. Hello ChaNuka කියලත් එනවා . මේ වැඩෙන් ටිකක් විතර අපිට පොඩි ගැම්මක් එනවා අපේ රටේ product එකක් ඒ විදියට අපිට greet කරන එක ගැන 2.Ui Redesign-ඉස්සෙල්ලා තිබ්බ කරදරකාරී Ui එක වෙනුවට හෙන ලස්සන Ui එකක් දැන් තියෙන්නේ.සිරාම ඈ. අර වැඩියෙන්ම පාවිච්චි කරන tools ටික උඩට pin කරගන්න පුලුවන් දැං (හැබැයි pro සෙට් එකට විතරයි) 3.එසැණ-එසැණ කිව්වම දන්නැති කෙනෙක් නෑනෙ නෙහ්. එසැණ එකේ hot hot NEWS ටිකත් අර කියපු ටිකට යටින් බලාගන්ඩ පුලුවන්. මට මතක හැටියට සෑහෙන කාලෙක ඉඳන් තිබිච්ච Reliableම news sources වලින් එකක් 4.Helapay-Feature එක ගැන ලොකුවට කියන්ඩ දෙයක් ඇත්තෙම නෑනෙ චැට් කරනවා වගේ හෙනම ලේසියෙං ෂල්ලි එහාමෙහා කරන්ඩ පුලුවන්. ආ මේකෙං චැට් කරන්ඩත් පුලුවන් 😏 දෝණිට මැසෙජ්ජෙකක් යවන්න නැත්තං දෝණිට Amante එකෙන් අලුත් ඇඳුමක් ගන්න සල්ලි යවන්න හරි. අනික බිල් ගෙවන වැඩ එහෙම effortlessly කරගන්න පුලුවන් වෙනදටත් වඩා ඉක්මනට. මම කැමති නෑ හෙන වටයක් ගහලා ඒ වගේ වැදගත් වැඩ කරන්න. 5.සිතළු-කියන්නෙ මට ඇප් එකේ සෙට් වෙච්ච ආතල්ම කෑල්ල Facebook එකේ ලියන්න අමාරු ලැජ්ජ උදවිය මේකෙ කවි නිසදැස් එහෙම සෑහෙන්න ලියනවා. පහුගිය දවස් ටිකේ Helakuru එකෙන් මේ ලියන අය වෙනුවෙන් පොඩි වැඩසටහනකුත් කලා. මාත් ගියා ඒකටනම්. ඔයා මේ සිතළු වල ලියන නිසදැස් කවි වලින් followers ලා හදාගන්නත් පුලුවන්. මාත් බැලුවෙ හෑලි ටිකක් ලියලා Followersල ටිකක් ගොඩදාගන්න 6.Profile Details එහෙම අපිට කැමති විදියට වෙනස් කරගන්න පුලුවන්. මමනං ඉන්නෙ දෝණිගෙයි මගෙයි Photo එකක් දාගන්ඩ කියලා 7.App Icon/App Theme -අර Duolingo එකේ කුරුල්ලා වෙනස් වෙන විදිය මතකද? අන්න ඒ වගේ මේකෙත් App Icon එක වෙනස් කරගන්න පුලුවන්. කැමතිනං ඉතින් App එකේ Theme එක වෙනස් කරගන්ඩත් පුලුවන් ඔය උඩ තියෙන ටික කියවලා අත්විඳලා බලලා ඊටපස්සෙ ජුණ්ඩක් විතර පෝන්නෙක හොලවලා බලන්ඩ. පස්සෙ මට තෑන්ක් කරන්ඩකො ඇ. පිටින් තිබ්බ ලස්සන මගුල් ටික ඉවරයි . දැං තියෙන්නෙ වාහනේ ජිංජි මයන්න බලන්න. අලුතෙන් එකතුවෙච්ච Features ටික මොනවද කියලා බැලුවොත් 8.Spell checker-කොච්චරනම් කඩ්ඩ Autocorrect tools තිබුනත් සිංහල වචනවල අක්ෂර වින්යාස හරිගස්සන්න Tool එකක් තිබුනෙ නෑනෙ. ඔන්න ඉතින් හාහා පුරා කියලා Helakuru එකට සිංහල Spell Checker එකක් ඇවිල්ලා. 9.Shortcuts-මතකද English keyboard එකේ OMW කියලා ගැහුවම Autoම On my way කියලා දික් වෙනවා අන්න ඒ වගේ දැන් Mk කියලා ගැහුවොත් මොකද කරන්නෙ කියලා ටයිප් වෙනවා. යයබේපු කියලා ගැහුවොත් වදින්නෙ මොකක්ද කියලා මගෙන් අහන්ඩෙපා දැං 10.Gestures අර apple ලගෙ තියෙන gestures දැං Helakuru එකෙත් තියෙනවා. ඒ තරම්ම Smooth නැතත් හොඳ තත්වෙක තියෙනවා වැඩේ. ඇත්තම කියමුකෝ. Basic version එකේ ඔයාට ඕනෙ හැමදේම වගේ තියෙනවා. ඒත මම උනානම් Pro Version එක අරන් තියාගන්නවා. මොකද මාසෙට රුපියල් 100ක් වගේනෙ වියදම් වෙන්නේ. උඹලට උපරිම රුපියල් 100න් ප්ලේන්ටි දෙකක් බොන්ඩ පුලුවන්. ඒ 100ට හම්බෙන Features ටික මට වැඩිත් එක්ක. ආ විෂේසෙන් කියන්ඩෝනෙ මං සමහරවිට ඉස්සරහට Phoentiac Keyboard එකත් පාවිච්චි කරයි. මොකද මේක ඉස්සර මං පාවිච්චි කලාට වඩා සැහෙන්න Smooth දැන්. ඉතින් මට සෙට්උන වෙනස්කම් ඔච්චරයි. ඔච්චරයි කිව්වට සෑහෙන්න ලොකු Improvement එකක් මේක. මම සිරාම කියන්නෙ පොඩි Try එකක් දීලා බලන්න අලුත් Update එක ආවට පස්සෙ. I’ve been using the Wijesekara keyboard layout for typing for a very long time, so I mostly relied on the default iOS keyboard. Recently, I got a chance to beta test the updated Helakuru keyboard. I activated the trial version and have been using it daily for a few days.
Here are the standout new features that impressed me:
- Welcome Screen: Remember how I used to customize custom ROM boot screens? Helakuru now greets you with “Hello ChaNuka” upon launching! Getting greeted like that by a native Sri Lankan app gives a genuine feeling of local pride.
- UI Redesign: The old, cluttered UI is replaced by a super clean, polished layout. You can now pin your most-used utility tools to the top bar (Pro feature).
- Esana Hot News: Esana news updates are integrated directly below the top toolbar. It remains one of the most reliable local news sources available.
- HelaPay: Seamless peer-to-peer money transfers directly within chat. You can send funds effortlessly to pay bills or send your partner money for a new outfit without jumping through complex banking menus.
- Sithalu Community: A dedicated creative space where users publish Sinhala poetry and short stories. Helakuru even organized an offline meetup for contributors recently. You can build a follower base off your writing.
- Profile Customization: Fully custom profile details and avatar photos.
- Dynamic App Icons & Themes: Similar to Duolingo’s dynamic icon shifts, Helakuru now supports custom App Icons and full UI themes.
Core Typing Engine & Performance:
- Sinhala Spell Checker: While English auto-correct tools are everywhere, a proper Sinhala spelling checker was non-existent. Helakuru officially introduced native Sinhala spell-checking!
- Custom Text Shortcuts: Just like typing OMW expands to On My Way, typing Mk expands automatically to Mokada Karanne.
- Apple-style Gestures: Smooth gesture navigation built directly into the keyboard interface.
Verdict & Pricing:
Honestly, the basic version packs everything an everyday user needs. But I highly recommend picking up the Pro version—it costs around Rs. 100/month (the price of two plain teas!), and the extra features are well worth the investment.
The Phonetic keyboard layout has also become drastically smoother than older builds. Give the new update a try—it’s totally worth it!
